ROLE: PEOPLE & CULTURE MANAGER (Part time)

DEPARTMENT: PEOPLE (Standalone HR role)

BUSINESS AREA: PROPERTY HUB

REPORTS TO: Managing Director

JOB PURPOSE

Drives the Talent and HR strategy through proactive management of areas including employer brand, talent acquisition, employee experience and employee relations. Develops and implements key initiatives as well as managing the day-day-to-day activities of the department, working with the management team to ensure that Property Hub is one of the top companies to work for in the UK.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing recruitment and selection, identifying innovative solutions to source and attract high calibre talent.
  • Coaching, supporting and challenging managers in the application of people policies and practices, providing advice and guidance on complex people issues.
  • Proactively updating policies and procedures, ensuring that all relevant legislative requirements are embedded in the development of policy.
  • Supporting managers with ER cases to balance business focused decisions and legal compliance at all times and ensure high risk cases are managed effectively.
  • Overseeing talent management activities to drive high performance.
  • Leading on a variety of HR projects.
  • Working with Managers to ensure that all new starters have a fantastic onboarding experience.
  • Preparing insights on people metrics, providing the managers with relevant and meaningful information to inform business decisions.
  • Acting as an Ambassador of the company, continually demonstrating our core values.
  • Managing the general office including ensuring supplies are available and assisting with travel booking.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CIPD qualified,

SKILLS & PROFICIENCIES

  • Proven HR generalist experience with 5+ years’ experience
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills is required together with proven leadership capabilities
  • Solid knowledge of employment legislation and its application
  • Proactive team player with strong service ethic and problem-solving skills
  • Experienced in developing and supporting line managers through change
  • An ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy is crucial
  • Self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy
  • IT literate
  • Worked in a founder led environment - able to adapt to change quickly.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Location: Manchester office (city centre)

Package: £50,000 FTE plus benefits

Contract: part-time 3 days per week, permanent
